Our cacao comes from the Amazon region in eastern Peru. It is cultivated there by small farmers using organic methods, without pesticides, in agroforestry, and processed with care. The cacao is fermented, dried, and not roasted, thus preserving many of its active ingredients. The effect is gentle, and the taste is chocolatey and slightly earthy.
